Have you ever felt like you are Not Good Enough? Whether it’s complete seasons or small episodes there are just times when you never quite measure up? Failure seems to come at every corner and turn, sometimes even when you are on the straight road.

It’s defeating.

It’s frustrating.

It’s soul-sucking.

What to do, what to do? Giving up is not an option. Our life goes on and we need to find a way, regardless of how daunting and difficult it seems.

When I reach this point, I take a step back – sometimes a huge step back- and re-evaluate. The situation, the relationship, my perceptions etc. I examine every aspect with a fine-tooth comb. Most times things need some tweaking, sometimes I need a whole new direction. Sometimes I need to take a break or rest, sometimes some self-care. Most times a bit of all of these. Eventually, bit by bit, I put together a new plan which evolves into a new direction.

A balanced blend of being not too hard on myself but at the same time, hard enough. Indulging in a small treat, something I enjoy while examining these areas also helps 😉 . There are also some daily and weekly practices I employ to help keep me in a good space. These help sustain me when life’s bumps come along (and they will come along).
