Congratulations! You’ve taken the first step, which is always the most difficult, by deciding to take control and make your life more organized.
Take a few moments and start by doing a bit of brainstorming. Pour yourself a cuppa
tea, coffee or favourite beverage.
Grab a pen and paper — perhaps a
binder or book you find interesting
and appealing — one you’ll want to
write in. Start brainstorming!
Write down all areas of your home, office and/or life you feel need to be more organized. Write them down as they pop into your head (no need to worry about any order — just jot them down, in point form as you think of them).
Your list might look like this:
- The kitchen
- The craft area/room
- Billy’s bedroom
- The Laundry Room
- Birthday schedule
- Bill payments
- Meal Planning
- Grocery Shopping
- Getting to piano lessons
- Daily schedule
- The garage
- Friend time
- The coat closets
What have I forgotten? What unique things are on your list?
You get the idea — the list of things that need organizing is endless! After you’ve written several down, you may think you’ve remembered everything. You’ll quickly find you haven’t. It’s an ongoing process and more things are bound to become evident to you over the next few days. This is fantastic! Keep your list or inspiring book handy and add items as they come up.
Start small, work it out and move on to the next area.
Seems simple, right? 😉
You can do this! I know you can!
